Reigncom - iRiver To Launch Portable Game Gears
Etnews, South Korea
Reigncom, a powerhouse in the world MP3 player market, plans to jump into
competition in portable game gear market.
Reigncom said on Wednesday that it would develop a new portable 3D game player
by the first half of next year by joining hands with the Electronics and
Telecommunication Research Institute (ETRI) and Nexus Chips, a graphic chip
developer.
Installed with a 3D engine and 3.5-inch LCD, the new portable game gear to be
developed by Reigncom will allow users to enjoy MP3 music, games and mobile
images at any time and any place. It will also be installed with a graphic
acceleration chip that can process 40 million polygon per second.
"Our new game player, which will be launched in the first half of next year,
will be the first ubiquitous game gear that can be linked with PC-based online
games, and wire-wireless communication service," said Shin Sun-cheol, executive
director at Reigncom.
