denies market talk of it buying a stake in Creative

SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)--Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) isn't looking to buy a
stake in Singapore consumer electronics company Creative Technology Ltd.
(C76.SG), a spokesperson from the U.S. software company told Dow Jones Newswires
on Tuesday.
The comment pours cold water on recent market speculation that Microsoft is
interested in investing in Creative, a maker of MP3 players that compete with
Apple's iPod.
