Asian music gets

The first website dedicated to music from South Asia has gone live in the
UK, powered by digital music store Karmadownload.
The firm has partnered with music company Br-Asian, which offers a catalougue of
Asian influenced music from Bollywood and Bhangra to Asian Underground and Asian
R&B.
Alongside specialist music, Brasianbeats.com will also promote music from
established acts such as Nitin Sawhney, M.I.A and Raghav.
The non-subscription site offers downloads in MP3 format and can be used with
all MP3 compatible devices, including Apple’s iPod.
All tracks are priced at 89p, with albums ranging from £6.99 to £9.99.
Moiz Vas, Br-Asian founder, said: “The Brasian Beats senior management are proud
to have developed the largest legal digital catalogue for South Asian influenced
music form across the globe. We are thrilled to join forces with Karma as our
digital download partner.”
