Aesthetics
seen as crucial in battle for MP3 player market Channel News Asia - Singapore
SINGAPORE : Shares of Creative Technology have remained under pressure
since the company cut its sales forecast for the June quarter and warned that it
would post an operating loss.
In trying to carve a bigger market share against intense competition, Creative
has been counting on a variety of features in its products to drive sales.
Over in the US, Apple Computer is busy making amends to customers, whose older
iPod batteries did not fully charge, or needed to be replaced.
It has agreed to give out US$50 vouchers to those affected.
A final settlement is expected in August.
It is a clear case of products which fail to live up to specifications, which
Creative says will not happen to its own MP3 players.
